CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) 201-05-28 Beta

The CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) is a filter pack specifically built for playing anime. It has been assembled by some of the most knowledgeable people in the anime world, and one of the primary design goals is to play as much as possible with as little as possible. The CCCP attempts to be as unintrusive on your system as possible. The pack is also now officially endorsed by the Matroska Project, the developers who designed the MKV format.

    * Video codecs:
          o MPEG-1 - comes with Windows
          o MPEG-2 - including DVD playback
          o MPEG-4 ASP

          o MPEG-4 AVC - better known as H.264
          o WMV & VC-1 - mostly comes with Windows, see below

Changes in CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack) 2010-10-10:
    * MPC-HC no longer supported on Win2k. The installer won't let you install it if you're using Win2k.
    * Updated components:
          o FFDShow 1.1.3562.0
          o MPC-HC 1.3.2505.0
          o Haali 1.10.262.12
    * Settings app changes:
          o Improved h264 decoder selection logic. The settings app supports native switching between ffdshow, ffdshow-mt (ffmpeg-mt), CoreAVC and DivX decoders, (if installed).
          o Error detection for 're-register filters' improved again.
          o Better behaviour when closing. Now prompts to apply changes if you click 'Cancel'.
    * Installer improvements:
          o Directory autocomplete for install path.
          o Pick the best h264 decoder intelligently.
          o DirectX9 End-User Runtimes are required for ffshow now. Don't install if they aren't present.
